AIW and the National Press Club (NPC), Robert M. Knight and Marion Street Press will launch, Journalistic Writing: Building the Skills, Honing the Craft
In an April event cosponsored by AIW and the National Press Club (NPC), Robert M. Knight and Marion Street Press will launch their newest book, Journalistic Writing: Building the Skills, Honing the Craft.
The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27 at the NPC, 529 14th St. NW in Washington. It will include a catered repast and a cash bar. An admission fee of $10 per person will go to AIW.
In addition, Knight, an AIW Board member,
- Will appear at the Independent Writers of Chicago on March 9, when he will conduct a program, “Professional Skills that Make Writers Block Go Away.”
- Has written an article on newsworthiness in “the Age of Blog and Tweet,” scheduled for the ethics issue of Quill, scheduled for April.
- Has written an article adapted from one of his book chapters on “the Eternal Cliché.” It is to appear online on April 18 in The Vocabula Review.
- Will make a presentation April 10 at Gettysburg College for “Speak Up, Write Out,” an annual event for journalism programs from half a dozen liberal arts colleges in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Knight writes a series of blogs on writing, journalism and the English language, “Verbal Knightcap,” at the AIW blog.
